French doors are a beautiful and stylish option for an interior door. The lites, or glass panes, allow natural light to flow into the room and make for a timeless and elegant look. Our French doors come in a variety of grid options, from single lite all the way up to 18-lite.
This French door features a 5-lite design on 1 3/8" thick pine. The 5-lite door works perfectly for a small single or double door opening. Smaller widths can even be used as a sidelight for larger door openings. This beautiful interior door features a primed clear pine material that can be finished with a light sanding using a fine-grit sandpaper along with the water-based color of your choice.
*16"W x 80"H doors cannot have a Bore in sides for regular doorknob. This size width can only host a dummy knob.
*All glass in our French Door line is tempered. Over spray may occur in the priming process. It is normal for the windows to look painted. There is a plastic layer on top of the glass that can be removed with a straight edge razor. We recommend waiting to remove after you've finished painting your door.
Industry Standard is that you add at least 2" to the overall dimension of the door size, to determine your RO. For example, if you order (1) 30"W x 80"H size door, your RO needs to be at least 32"W x 82"H for a single door application. If you are ordering for a double door application, and want to use (2) 30"W x 80"H size doors inside your one opening, your RO needs to be at least 62"W x 82"H.

With our RapidHang™ system, doors are prepped and pre-hung in our facility to ensure that everything fits perfectly based on your specifications. We then disassemble them and ship them flat with the hinge jamb attached for a cost effective and safe transit to your home or job site.

Please note that any doors 16" and under in width may not be bored as the stile is too narrow. Select your double doors as 1/2 the width size needed for a full application. (i.e. 30" Wide Finished opening measurement, please select 15" Doors and select double door configuration.

Features of our primed doors:
- No raised wood grain when painting – smoother finish.
- No veneer bubbles from water based paints.
- MDF stile and rail veneers are a much harder surface than pine, less susceptible to dents or damage.
- Water based (latex) paints can be used on the primed doors. Oil based primer and paint is not required on the primed doors as it is on the clear pine doors. This can reduce painting expense.
These doors are made from veneered engineered solid core pine wood. The inner core is made of hardwood in a cross grain pattern bonded together under heat, pressure and glue. The result is a stronger product that limits cracking and splitting of the wood material. Unfinished pine doors require oil-based finishing. For more information, see our Finishing page.

"Our 100 year old house had a 42. 5" x 84" RO. I couldn't afford the custom price for two 5 lite French doors, so I bought 2) 20" wide units and lengthen them to suit my needs. (The 20" W doors do not come 84" tall). They were well made doors and the plastic film over the individual glass lites made painting them much easier."

- Can your interior doors be used as a barn door
- Our doors are shown priced as slabs only, which means there are no cuts for the hinges or door knob, and work well for Barn or Pocket door applications. You will want to consider how wide and tall your door opening is, to make sure the door(s) will cover that space. For Barn Doors, you typically want 84" since you are hanging the door outside and above the door frame.
- I have a 72" wide opening which I would like to put bifold glass doors in 4 - 18" doors, two opening and folding L and R. How would I configure the order to do this?
- Brian, You have two options: #1 - We do not offer glass panel bifolds as a standard item-this would be a custom order. Generally speaking, custom orders are @ 3 times the cost of standard price with a 16-18 week lead time. #2 - We can offer our doors only as just slabs(no cuts on them). You would purchase the hinge and track hardware needed(we recommend you check out Johnson Hardware) and connect/hang the doors with the correct hardware, to create the bifold function you are looking for.
- Does it come with the door knob in? Or can you order it with the door knob?
- The door knob hardware can be purchased separately. The door comes as a slab only, or can be purchased with a jamb kit, which includes: *2 sides and header piece *Stopping material * Hinges * Mortise for the hinges * Bore for the real door knob
