Shaker style doors are very popular these days, and can be used in a variety of rooms in your home. The minimalism characteristic is great for the modern home, but still fits nicely in a more classic setting. We recently came across a creative idea for modifying an interior shaker door that the whole family will love (and it may even help keep you organized)!

Chalkboard paint can be found at any hardware store, or a variety of places online. It is quick drying, and best of all, very affordable! We thought that using our 2 Panel Shaker Style Door would be ideal for this weekend project. 

Since the door is a clear pine material, it is perfect for a paint finish. This would allow you to just paint one panel, or both. Leaving you with one for grocery lists or notes, and the below for the kids to draw on!
