The Gaskins family are recent Door to Door Co. customers, and owners of a top a beverage catering company located in beautiful Charleston, SC… specializing in wedding, private events, corporate parties, and non-profit functions. They approached us when they wanted a quick turnaround on new shaker style doors for their home in an up and coming downtown neighborhood. They were in the final stages of remodeling and trying to wrap up as their new baby was on the way - so we were happy to help!

Our shaker doors were a no-brainer for the Gaskins family as they wanted to achieve a rustic look with a touch of contemporary. They wanted to keep with the classic Charleston style, but update with a healthy mix of new, old and industrial.

Once they selected the sizes of their doors, they ordered and we had them delivered in less than a week. Their contractor offered to install and had them up before the following Monday!

Take a look at a few before and after pictures below.

The Gaskins own a beverage catering company that specializes in bar rentals, and also own a popular new restaurant in St. John USVI. It shouldn’t be a suprise that are going to have a state of the art wetbar in their home. The glass cabinet style they chose pairs nicely with the shaker doors.

Another component to the Gaskins’ renovation is the shiplap siding they added. This style is being seen more and more in new homes, especially in HGTV’s popular show Fixer Upper, and you can often find it underneath your plaster walls. A lot of people are finding this in their older homes, and stripping the plaster and letting the horizontal wood planks show.
